Sodium hypochlorite solution for disinfecting water supplies and storage tanks.

Sodium hypochlorite supplied for water supply work rather than pool duty. In liquid form it can be metered continuously by a dosing pump, which is what municipal supplies and larger buildings need for maintaining a consistent chlorine residual through a distribution network — something powder dosed by hand cannot do reliably. It is also the usual choice for disinfecting tanks and lines after cleaning or repair.

Corrosive. Never mix with acid or ammonia — releases toxic gas. Strength declines with time, heat and light, so store cool, sealed and out of sunlight and rotate stock rather than holding it indefinitely. Wear gloves and eye protection when decanting or priming dosing pumps.
