Poly Aluminium Chloride coagulant for turbidity removal and water clarification.

Poly Aluminium Chloride is the modern replacement for traditional alum in most treatment plants. It works across a wider pH range, so it needs less alkalinity correction alongside it, and it produces noticeably less sludge for the same clarification result — which reduces disposal cost and handling. It also performs better in cold water, a genuine advantage during Nepali winters and for plants treating snowmelt-fed sources, where alum can become sluggish.

Acidic in solution — wear gloves and eye protection when mixing. Store dry and sealed, as the powder is hygroscopic and will cake. Correct dosing is determined by jar testing against the actual source water, since it varies with turbidity and season.
